Man arrested for leaking Guns N’ Roses songs
27-year-old Kevin Cogill was picked up by the FBI early Wednesday morning and is now facing a $10,000 bail to get sprung from jail. He is accused of illegally streaming songs from the un-released CD “Chinese democracy” by GN’R.
According to the arrest affidavit, Kevin Cogill admitted to FBI agents that he did have un-released songs on his blog website and in some of his final posts before being arrested Cogill was talking to readers about being questioned by the Fed’s and asking people if they new any good lawyers. The band has been informed about the arrest and are very upset at the situation because obviously this could affect CD sales for them.
“Chinese democracy” is a 10 year work in progress for the band who have been pretty shady over the past few years. Slash is now the front man for Velvet revolver and somehow Axel Rose is still alive and working (good for him).
Even though the songs are now off the internet you can get a little taste of one of their singles in the new “Rock Band 2” which comes out in september.
