Lance Armstrong For #8?
Lance Armstrong is now officially out of retirement and getting set to race once again in the Tour de France. He will be making his come back in the 2009 circuit and looking to be the oldest competitor to win third prestigious event. Even with 7 titles already behind him some people have their doubts if he can come up with one more, which is exactly what fuels Lance to rise up and be the fighter he is. The 7 consecutive titles he won were from 1999-2005 and done with the help of his original team, Astana. It has not yet been determined if he will be reuniting with his old teammates to go his 8th tour win.
In his 3 years away from cycling Armstrong has been very active participating in marathons such as the Boston and the New York City, all done to help raise global awareness for cancer research. The second coming of the 36 year old Armstrong is back not for himself but for all the cancer vicitms around the world. The money made in his return from sponsorships and prize purses will be going to aid cancer research and he will not collect a penny of his winnings for himself. Here at Men`s Garage we are fully behind you Lance and are hoping to see you win number 8 and what ever you might do after that.
