Steroids have been abused for many years by body builders, professional athletes, and gym rats. With the known facts of steroids doing so much harm to your body it makes you wonder why it is becoming more and more popular. Yes, steroids will increase muscle growth at a more rapid pace and will give you more strength, but you can spot someone on steroids a few blocks over and I personally have no respect for them. Steroids are a cheater drug to look bigger which come at a cost but even with that being said, the negatives of steroids greatly out weight the positives. With thousands of other ways to put on muscle in a much safer manner your much better off avoiding the risk of steroids.

Physical Side Effects

  • Raise in blood pressure that may lead to cardiovascular diseases
  • Loss of hair
  • Server acne
  • Decreased size in the scrotum
  • Liver disorders
  • Loss of sex drive
  • Low sperm count and reproductive disorders including sterility
  • Risk of HIV and other STI’s due to sharing of needles
  • Decreased hormone levels

Physiological Side Effects

  • Violent mood swings
  • Impaired judgment
  • Depression
  • Very irritable
  • Extremely nervous
  • Delusional

With these side effects and the amont of steroid related deaths it just is not worth the risk, especially when there are many safe effective alternitives to gaining muscle mass. If you looking to put on weight with out the effort you might want to rethink things as its going to take effort, but in the end your muscle gain will be well worth it. Stay fit and stay safe from Men’s Garage.
