Living a healthy lifestyle is always a challenge, even for the people who are in phenomenal shape. There are always so many daily tests of will power and urges to eat fatty foods to beat along with trying to find time for the gym or even trying to do some easy exercises to keep your weight down. Even with that said some people just seem to gain fat no matter what the situation and you might be one of those people. Check out some reasons why you might be getting fat and not know why.
Being Stressed Out
Getting stressed is just the worst, you don’t want to do anything except lay in bed or hide from the world. Stress can also cause you to gain fat when your body releases “cortisol” which may increase your appetite. Plus when your bummed out you always look for the comfort food instead of trying to beat stress by doing things like
- Get into summer shape to show off that body
- Do some activities outdoors that also keep you fit
- Build the ultimate biceps
- Go on a relaxing trip somewhere hot and meet people
Hanging Out With Overweight Friends
If your friends are obese and have a unhealthy eating lifestyle then you are at a greater risk of following in there footsteps reported the New England Journal of Medicine, just look what happens when your friends want to go through the Burger king drive through, are you really going to order a salad? But you can’t really just up and leave your pals because they eat like pigs. Try leading a different root and get them to follow you to a healthy eating plan so they can lose weight and stay lean just like you.
Sugary Drinks
I’m not sure if people realize it or not but drinking anything loaded with sugar is just terrible for your body. Sugar is one of the main reasons for weight gain in America and still everyone just can’t shake that habit. The health risks of cola are far more serious then people will ever believe and all you have to do is substitute… Drink juice, water or anything that gives your some nutritional value.
Forms Of Medications From Your Doctor
A lot of prescription meds can have side effects of weight gain or cause your metabolism to slow down causing your body to store more fat. Ask your Doc if any of your pills might be doing this, or you can try things like planning out your daily meals with foods that boost your metabolism. Or try boosting your energy through forms of workouts like H.I.I.T or the lost art of swimming.
Not Enough Sleep
Sleep is needed to recharge your battery and keep your body in top notch shape as well. Lack of sleep can cause weird alterations with your appetite and increase the amount of calories you eat every day. So try to stick to what you know and control your appetite and remember that good nights mean good mornings.
