In the athletics department of the Olympics this year all eyes were on Usain Bolt, a relatively unknown Jamaican sprinter who has changed the sprinting world. At only 21 years old and standing a 6’5 Bolt is one of the youngest and tallest sprinters in the sport putting some doubts in the minds of many.
With his first preliminarily race shattering the competition and walking thought the finish line, that was all put to rest and seemed as if he would only get faster thought each race. After shattering the World and Olympic record in the 100m sprint with a lighting quick time of 9.69 seconds, Bolt still had yet to run hard thought to the end of a race. In the 200 m race, Usain Bolt’s favourite run, despite a strong head wind bolt finally gave it his all and took yet another gold metal and conquering a world record with a time of 19.30 seconds.
Look for this young phenomenon in years to come to post some wicked times and hopefully to see him and his Jamaican team to go for good in the always exciting 4 x 100 relay.
